Fibreglass backing is replaced by a polyresin back. Translucent Stoven sheets allow light to pass through, when illuminated from the back. In the absence of light, they have a natural stone look.
Stoven flexible stone veneer is made from a thin layer of stone stripped or peeled from a metamorphic stone slab. Thin veneers (from 0.5mm to 1mm thickness) of slate, schist, or sandstone are pulled away from the original thicker stone slabs by using a special proprietary technology. Fiberglass backing is fused behind the stone veneer to make the final product.
