Composition

KEY FEATURES

Not Easily Flammable

FR+ laminates are impregnated with special resins that make them difficult to ignite and thus aren’t easily flammable. Allow for creating Class 1 fire rated panels when used with suitable substrates and adhesives.

Self Extinguishing

FR+ decorative laminates and compact laminates are self-extinguishing, which means that once the flame source is removed, the fire will subside.

No toxic smoke or by products

Halogen free, flame retardant additives that are environment friendly and can be safely used without adverse effects.

Highly Decorative

Scratch Resistant

Merino FR+ laminates are scratch resistant to all kinds of daily use scenarios.

FR+ is impact resistant as per EN 438 standards.

Introduction

Merino presents Halogen Free FR+ Fire Retardant Laminates that eliminate the risk of toxic smoke. They are safe and sturdy and come in exquisite designs and colours. These laminates are approved by Warrington Fire, UK BS-476 with a Class-I fire rating and is ideal for kitchens and fire prone areas.
Composition
- Grade HGF / VGF
- Class 1 flame retardant decorative laminates
- Grade CGF for Compact
- B-s1.d0 as per EN 13501-1:2007 for FR grade 12 mm Compact laminate
- Difficult to ignite
- No droplets
Treated Decor paper:

Decor paper impregnated with specially formulated MF resin that has been modified with proprietary additives to impact flame retardant properties.

Kraft paper:

Kraft Paper impregnated with specially formulated PF resin that has been modified with proprietary additives to impart flame retardant properties.
Advantages
Class-I Fire Rating:
- Merino FR+ Fire Retardant Laminates are tested and approved by Warrington fire laboratory, UK, as per BS-476 standard and is also tested as per ASTM E-84 Standard.
- The product passes Class-I Fire Rating (Provided fire retardant adhesive and substrates are used).
- Modular office furniture.
- Class-I Fire Retardant Laminates do not allow fire to spread further, once the source is removed and extinguishes itself within a stipulated time.
- Significantly reduces the risk of toxic smoke.
